I can not believe it’s already October and Halloween is this weekend!? But in Texas it’s all about Football, camping , s’mores, sweater weather, and baking delicious pies am I right?! I’ve always been a baker and lover of sweets. But since being in quarantine I’ve started a new love for cooking! And since I had my bridal shower we received a ton of amazing kitchen gifts and now it’s like a reality tv cooking show in our house and I love it! I bring that up because I am currently writing this while waiting for my chicken pot pie to bake in the oven. I’ll link the amazingly easy and delicious recipe here, because let’s be real…we ALL love an easy Pinterest dinner recipe!
Anyways, on to the elopement!
Back to tropical beach vibes and sweet summertime for just a minute while you check out this post!
A month ago we eloped down in South Padre Island with our immediate family and best friends and it was truly the most magical morning! Here are a few sneak peeks from the best day ever! The evening before the elopement we went to the ceremony spot to take some beach sunset portraits, even though it had been dark and rainy all day. We said “let’s take a chance on the rain”, got out of the car and ran to the ocean front sandy beach. Instead of a colorful sunset, we got some sprinkles and a rainbow, but it was still just as magical and symbolic.
Photos below from that magical moment 🙂
Despite covid cancelling/postponing all our original plans A and B and so we went with plan C. Which funny as it as, was our first dream wedding choice. But once we started to actually plan our wedding we realized we wanted to celebrate with our both of our big families and many friends. But no one plans a pandemic so we postponed all original plans and chose to elope and we are so glad we did!
A few fun facts about us, since I’m always getting questions to get to know you!
-We’ve been together 6 years, and got engaged last year on the beach in Port Aransas.
– Concerts are our jam, we’ve probably attended over 200 concerts together the last 6 years! We can’t wait for the pandemic to be over so we can finally go to a live show again!
-We love to travel, especially to the beach. So far we’ve been to 12 states together!
-Favorite date night out would be get dinner at a tex-mex place and margaritas! Not sure who loves margaritas more tbh LOL
