I had such an amazing and fun time meeting and capturing Daniel and Desiree’s surprise proposal at the Magnolia Silos in Waco, Texas! Check out the surprise proposal and our fun portrait session around the gardens and silos.
The Couple: Together about 8 years now, and they’re so excited about this next chapter! They took a trip all the way from California to Waco for Desiree’s 30th birthday and had plans to visit the silos for the annual silobration. It was the most perfect crisp fall day and I’m so glad they got to visit Texas when we had gorgeous weather.
The Proposal: Daniel,Desiree and family were walking around the shops at the back of the silos near the old historic church. I text Daniel the game plan- let’s meet in front of the church and I’ll pretend to work there and take a group photo! Once Daniel let me know they were in place, I slowly walked up to the family and ask “Hey Y’all! Would y’all like a fun group pic in front of the church? They all agreed, and we took a quick group shot in the “proposal spot”. It was so funny they were cracking up because I kept saying “yall”, haha I love it! Next I asked if any couples wanted pics, one couple went up first and then Daniel and Desiree were next up. We snapped a few pics, then he said ” wait let’s do one more”. Well that “one more” turned into “ will you marry me?” said by Daniel , down on one knee. Desiree, in shock, covered her mouth and said yes while happy tears started to flow. Everyone was clapping, crying and cheering around the church. It was a magical moment for sure! After the surprise proposal we took more family pictures, hugs were had, and Desiree showed off her ring to the camera and friends/family on Facetime. Then we adventured around magnolia and captured some quick portraits! It was such a great day filled with sunshine, love, friends and family and I’m so freakin happy for these two!
Congrats again and happy wedding planning!
